Features of Electrochromic Kinetics in Thin Films of Cathodic Precipitated Nickel Hydroxide
Abstract
Nanostructured nickel hydroxide films containing a large amount of water have been obtained by cathodic deposition. The investigations of the kinetics of electrochromic process in such films have confirmed that they are colored through the deintercalation of protons and electrons from their bulk. A dependence of the effective diffusion coefficient of these charge carriers on the potential of films and ratio of Ni(OH)2 to NiOOH in them has been obtained.
