ORCID Policy

Journal “Chemistry, Physics and Technology of Surface” supports the use of ORCID iD as an international standard for the identification of researchers and authors of scholarly publications.

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) provides a unique digital identifier for researchers, supports accurate authorship attribution, increases the visibility of research outputs, and facilitates integration of publications into international indexing and information systems.

 

Use of ORCID

The Editorial Office encourages all authors, co-authors, reviewers, and members of the Editorial Board to use a personal ORCID iD.

Authors may provide their ORCID iD:

  • during manuscript submission;
  • in their author profile within the journal system;
  • in article metadata;
  • in the final published version of the article.

 

Purpose of ORCID

The use of ORCID contributes to:

  • accurate identification of authors;
  • prevention of confusion between researchers with similar names;
  • proper attribution of scholarly publications;
  • integration with international databases and indexing systems;
  • automatic updating of authors’ research profiles.

 

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of the provided ORCID iD;
  • maintaining up-to-date information in their ORCID profile;
  • ensuring that the ORCID profile corresponds to their actual authorship and institutional affiliation.

 

Privacy and Use of Data

The journal uses ORCID iD solely for the purpose of academic author identification and integration of scholarly metadata.

The Editorial Office does not modify or manage authors’ personal ORCID profiles.

Authors who do not yet have an ORCID iD may register free of charge through the official ORCID website: https://orcid.org/

 

Policy Updates

The Editorial Board reserves the right to update this policy in accordance with international academic publishing standards and developments in researcher digital identification systems.
