  • Synthesis, modification and characterisation of porous systems (activated carbon, spherical carbon, carbon and inorganic monoliths);
  • Storage and transport related interactions in responsive hydrogels;
  • Interactions at solid/liquid interfaces;
  • Novel type sorbents (including soft matter and hybride materials) for environmental and biological applications (e.g., adsorption/release of contaminants, drugs);
  • Role and potential of carbon nanoparticles in the environment and for biological applications.
